Oil spill

Well, volcanos, typhoons, landslides, political killings, terrorism, dengue fever and meningococcemia aren't enough...

Now we have a major oil spill:

The tanker, Solar I, was carrying two million liters (12,580 barrels) of bunker oil when it sank off the central island of Guimaras on Saturday...
The Coast Guard warned that oil from the tanker threatens rich marine resources in the area and could threaten Boracay Island in Aklan province, famous for its white sandy beaches.

sigh. We have relatives who just opened a guest house off the beaches of Boracay...
