The sea: Barrier or road?

In the days before the interstates and railroads, people traveled on waterways.

So now, finally, scientists are realizing that maybe our ancestors thought the same way.

"The story of human evolution and human migrations has been dominated by terrestrial perspectives," the University of Oregon researcher told BBC News."I grew up on the coast and I always thought this didn't make much sense. Coastlines are exceptionally rich in resources."

Hold the presses...rewrite the history books....
