Headlines below the fold

The good news: Shoe manufacturers are tying to stop shes from smelling by putting perfume into shoes.
The Bad news: Some perfumes in skin creams make boys grow breasts.
Essay posted to The curse of the smelly sneaker at BNN.

Does evil smoking cause ADD? Yes, says this study. So does lead.
Of course, we docs know heavy smoking causes smaller babies, and that lead damages the brain. But smoking is also a "marker" for other reasons that might increase ADD: Poverty, other drug use, and of course maybe mom smokes to treat her own ADD, a trait that runs in families.

Attention PETA: Coming soon to a table near you. Stemcell meat...another Sci fi prediction come true.

Mr. Arkin is feeling sorry for himself. Well, demonizing people used to be fun. But now we have email. Freedom of speech is a bitch, isn't it, when it works both ways.

Blogfather links to a NYPost editorial that criticizes NYTimes . Presumably the NYTimes will respond like Mr. Arkin, labling the Post "biting, fanatical, threatening -- represent the worst of polarized and hate-filled America.".

THE REAL STORY of the Pinoy peace negotiators...held by the MNLF because they were mad, released when money paid. Well, what else is new?
On the other hand, with all the "extrajudicial killings" going on, criticizing Arroyo for being soft on terror might not be accurate.

And finally, Is the Pope Catholic?"...actually, I think it's kind of sweet for them to allow it...you see, if the Mormons are right, this will allow him into their heaven after death. Catholics just figure if you try your best you have "baptism of desire" and will make it there, but a lot of other churches just say all infidels are going to hell.
Or, as Marge Simpson puts it:
