Headlines below the fold

Good news of the day: South African miners rescued.

Good news of the day: Blackwater helicopters save Polish Ambassador...

Good news: After killing a lot of people, Myanmar gov't will talk to dissadent leader

The huge crowds remind Pinoys of the first EDSA revolution..but in Edsa the soldiers didn't shoot, claiming a beautiful lady in white went in front of the crowds and said to the soldiers: Do not shoot my people...the lady was never identified, some saying it was one of the nuns, but many Pinoys believe it was Mama Mary. Cardinal Sin merely quips: I knew all the nuns with me on the march, and none of them were very good looking...If you go to the link, the statue commemorating the march is known locally as "The Ugly Madonna".

Good news: North Korea discussing officially stopping Korean war...it's Bush's fault.

USA Today actually links to Limbaugh's transcript
about phoney soldiers... Heck, he says enough asinine things to dig himself into a hole, but in this case the Democratic claims are obviously distortion, so the press isn't buying the spin...

And finally: 50th anniversary of Leave it to Beaver...
