while the DNA on the Mulungeon folks suggest a lot of people way back when managed to travel around a lot, some families manage to stay put, no matter how often their neighborhood changes.

For example, the DNA on the 9000 year old "Cheddar man" has been matched to that of a local schoolteacher, who presumably doesn't come to work dressed like his ancestor...
