Dog story of the day

We have five watchdogs, but only one, Puti, is mean enough to bite a robber.

Although we got our two females fixed, they still have a batch of puppies each year. Usually we give them away: Every house has a dog or two for protection.

One puppy we named "Bruno" (or "Bruna" since she was a female) because of her tendency to disobey and fight everyone. She is a watchdog at our farm, and has become quite sweet after bearing a litter of puppies.

Well, last week, someone tried to steal some equipment or chickens from the farm, and Bruna tried to stop them: they didn't steal anything, but Bruna suffered a machete (bolo) chop to her neck...

It was too deep for us to suture (anesthesia was needed) so we took her to the vet to get it sewed up. She is now here recovering.

So it seems that Bruna is living up to her name.
