Not getting much play in the US, but they essentially are planning to control a major shipping lane, and no one seems to care.

yes: we are also considering using cheap tablet computers for our students. They will ontain locally written textbooks.
Alas, the problem with eBooks is that they cost too much: usually a used book costs less, and since I can't get ebooks from US Amazon and don't trust the local eCommerce sites, that leaves me with a shrinking number of paperbased used books at the used book kiosk for my reading pleasure.

Yes, women are the enemy, which is why the Taliban shot a Swedish aid worker, a little old lady, who has now died.

When I worked in Africa, the "insurgents" killed 31 of my friends, but their actions were whitewashed by the west  (The World Council of churches actually gave them guns to shoot us) so they were allowed to take over an ruin the country.

Remember that the next time you hear that  Obama "negotiates" with the bad guys. Sigh.
