Good news of the day

They found Richard III... heh...he was a hunchback..

Here's Ori (but not Nori)
LL Ori and the Orion Nebula

This esthetic close-up of cosmic clouds and stellar winds features LL Orionis, interacting with the Orion Nebula flow. Adrift in Orion's stellar nursery and still in its formative years, variable star LL Orionis produces a wind more energetic than the wind from our own middle-aged Sun. As the fast stellar wind runs into slow moving gas a shock front is formed, analogous to the bow wave of a boat moving through water or a plane traveling at supersonic speed. The small, arcing, graceful structure just above and left of center is LL Ori's cosmic bow shock, measuring about half a light-year across

Biden confuses Poland with Portugal.

Actually, Biden like Bush is dyslexic...if he were president, he probably would have common sense enough to have his staff make sure they don't make such mistakes when they write his speeches.

Which brings up a question: Who wrote the speech? Was it a "gaffe" by Joe, or did someone sabotage his speech?

And the real question is: Will Hillary run on Obama or will she carve out a more populist center?
I like Biden, but let's face it: He is not going to win the nomination for president.

Malala is starting to speak again.

I posted a review of the TV series Call the Midwife on BNN awhile back, and now the UKMAIL has an article about the service in the slums.

One of our nuns when I worked in Africa was an Irish lady who had worked as a slum midwife before joining the convent.
Last time I heard about her, her HIV clinic in Hatfield had been burned down by Mugabe's "take out the trash" clearance of suburbs that had voted against him...

Finally: Dave Barry warns: Don't worry about Bruce, the great white shark: Worry about these guys:

Paramedics say they have been called out to treat as many guinea pig bites as they have shark attacks in NSW over summer.
