Mushroom poisoning

A lot of naive city folk think herbs and mushrooms from nature are wonderful to eat.

I lost a few patients with this when I worked in rural Africa, where presumably people knew mushrooms because they lived close to the land. Nevertheless, sometimes they too made a mistake in identification.: Their livers shut down and there is nothing you can do.

However, a few of the patients in California survived, thanks to liver transplants.
