Joy is going to an organic food meeting in Thailand and took Ruby with her. She is one of several government delegates for the meeting about organic food, so her part is paid for: but we will pay for Ruby's fare and expenses, and her cousin is going with them to keep Ruby company and she will pay her own expenses. This will allow the girls shop etc. while Joy is busy at the meeting.
The storm with heavy rains is continuing, but the rain slowed down yesterday enough for our worker to clean out the blockage in the gutter that was causing water to back up and overflow into my room.
The internet continues to go off and on: this should be fixed in a day or two.
