this is partly from a low pressure area that is now flooding south China, and partly because the low pressure area is pulling in more monsoon rain.

the rai is worse south of us, as the map shows.

Both LPAs have a “medium” likelihood of intensifying into a tropical depression, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
