gaslighting going on

....

you know, there are hundreds of influences out there, so why the hysteria about Kirk?

And why has Candace Owens constantly changed her story about this?

Can you say "Gaslighting" children?

now, I am a Democrat and never heard of Kirk, yet the spiritual cascades coming from his death affected thousands of young people, especially young men. And it affected me in a positive way helping me to get the (Physical) strength to go back to church.

Since I am not an evangelical or a Republican, and I don't live in the USA, I cannot judge if this is still going on.

However, the over the top hatred against him and his widow suggests a major psychological problem: projecting their hatred to someone who is a minor figure in today's world and threatening his widow.

The passionate hatred reminds me of my patients with paranoid schizophrenia: Not the quiet ones who say the CIA or the little green men are taking over the world, but the scary ones who you hope won't start acting on their impulses.

The gaslighting is not just of Kirk's shooting: it includes those who take what he said out of context, or more commonly don't quote him at all but just parrot talking points they read from an internet influencer (Owens is not alone in this you know), nor is this type of hatred limited to one side in today's politics, but when it targets family members it has crossed the line.

Someone who had hundreds of hours of talking on podcasts that are still on line, yet those hating him merely say he is hateful, and take a single distorted sentence out of context to prove it.

and of course they insist anyone who talks about conservative values is hateful and should be shunned or worse.

Not logical. Sigh.
