Lederhosen, which literally means "leather pants," are a traditional folk costume worn mostly in the mountainous regions of Bavaria and Austria. They are a happy sort of short trouser often involved in singing and dancing.

And drinking. During the Oktoberfest, Bavarians and their guests drink 1.2 million gallons of beer."
