alas, the church there is busy promoting peace, not democracy as Archbishop Sin did when Cory "lost"...so don't hold your breath....

Michelle praises Native American tribes for "adding healthy, traditional foods like buffalo meat into school lunches.”
Yes, because all American Indians ate buffalo:

  video here:

actually, the tribes have long been involved with nutrition outreach: first, encouraging commodities to stop malnutrition and now by promoting good diets for quite awhile (I ate buffalo stew when I worked a stint
at the IHS 40 years ago...but it may not have been for nutrition, but because the hospital was so underfunded that the tribe used to donate meat from their older buffalo to help).

Colombus day and the PC are busy. But the dirty little secret is that disease, not the Europeans, destroyed the population: something that should be a message to all of us.

Charles C Mann's books 1491 and 1493 explore the issue of how the Americas existed before Colombus and what happened after the Colombian exchange of germs and plants and animals happened.
