Advent wreath

I predate the Advent wreath fad, and never heard of the custom until I read about it in Maria Von Trapp's story of her life.

But now it's just another commercial project as a table decoration, not a way to light a candle while saying prayers or bible reading, which was the original idea. And no, we don't make them here in the Philippines, where the main decoration is the Christmas star.
