Did Henry VIII accuse Anne Boleyn of incest because he was projecting his own guilt on her?
Tea at Trianon cites an article at AnneBoleyn files blog that discusses the rumor that Henry not only had an affair with her sister, but tmight have had one with her mother (and the really nasty rumors included hints was he Anne's father?) at and comments on this ancient scandal. (No, it's probably not true).
but it reminds modern day folks that she wasn't really popular at the time...
