I suspect Trumpie boy will pull a quick one: build a decent wall to control unregulated immigration and slow down the cartel who exploit illegal migrants and often force them to carry drugs, and then allow amnesty after screening for those who assimilate, while throwing out "dreamers" who are gang members and criminals.
by cutting down the cheap illegal workers, it will mean more jobs for inner city and rural kids.
That part about cheap labor is important: The dirty little secret is that these folks are exploited and have no protection against bad employers.
as for refugees: The Congo has 3 million internally displaced by local violence.
And now the Rohingya are being chased out of Burma, being sent back to their ancestral land of Bangladesh... and as I mentioned, their sympathy with locals has diminished after a local terror attack caused government pushback aka ethnic cleansing.
