some of the overdoses are from "natural and semi synthetic" opiods, i.e. prescribed pain killers, either accidental overdoses, suicide attempts, or lying to the doc to get the drugs.
or pills bought on the street, from legal or extralegal sources.
and of course, stealing the narcs from people dying of cancer.
But the real increase is in heroin or Fentanyl, both drugs bought and sold on the street.
(fentanyl is prescribed in pain patches, or used IV to induce anesthesia.. and heroin is illegal).

That isn't docs: that was street drugs. The drug dealers knew Marijuana was being legalized, so were switching their product. And since they already catered to folks who like to get high, guess what happened?

Chromosones affect not only the baby but the placenta, and are the reason for many kids being stillborn or miscarrying.
and I note that viruses/drugs/toxins similarly cause congenital problems, for which docs were often sued.

Transgender problems.
a lot of medical/psychiatric studies show the meme is wrong, and the politization might be making things worse, because there is now pressure to "transition" when maybe it is not the answer to the person's problem.
even the Pope is worried.
this is not a big thing here in the Philippines, because gays and transgenders are part of the family, so they have social support no matter what, beyond the activists who pressure them merely as a side issue to destroy the patriarchy.

pushing non narcotics is fake news.
I posted this earlier on this blog too, but didn't have a chance to rewrite/correct it.
But essentially I was pointing out technical problems with the study:
the placebo problem, and the self selection of obsessive compulsive types willing to enter such a study, and the irony if you take pills correctly, before the pain is so bad you can't stand it, you might not need narcotics to relieve the pain.
