Most of it is about the British point of view, but they also discuss the geopolitical background of how the Russians saw what was going on.
several points that are discussed in this podcast: The Russian need for the Crimea ports and the Ukraine grain. And the way diplomacy failed, partly because of the rigidity of the opinions but mainly because of the slowness of communications.
