These protests today are not organic. All 1300 of them have been preplanned by the same six Democrat led and funded NGOs. The resistance is made up of a professional agitator class, whose only purpose is to engage in destabilizing and Marxist revolutions. That is what they learn…

one difference: I saw in the sixties a lot of people in college who joined because it was the "in" thing; similarly, Ruby said in her college in Minnesota, a lot of the students joined the protests in 2020 for the same reason while the foreign students just shrugged them off, recognizing the manipulation because they saw how it worked in their countries.
In Manila, the price to hire a protester used to be five dollars plus lunch. But the workers and tricycle drivers will only protest if they agree with the protest, or don't care about it either way and figure why not, it's easy money.
But in the USA, there are plenty of true believers among the educated elite.
Well I always was the nay sayer and trouble maker: When I am with the MAGA types, I argue against them, but when I see astroturfed protests, I am just disgusted.
Educated people should know stuff and no believe the lies...
I am always reminded of P.J. O'Rourke's answer to why conservatives don't go to demonstrations: We have jobs.
And I am also cynical because all those sixties types who were against the vietnam war never raised a finger to help the millions of refugees or the Cambodian holocaust. The only prominent protester who did notice this was going on a tried to help was Joan Baez...
the present day multilateral world was a plan: In 1992, Robert Reich discussed this plan in his book the Work of Nations.
There is no longer such a thing as an American economy, say Robert Reich at the beginning of this brilliant book. What does it mean to be a nation when money, goods, and services know no borders? What skills will be the most valuable in the coming century? And how can our country best ensure that all its citizen have a share in the new global economy? Robert B. Reich, the widely respected and bestselling author of The Next American Frontier and The Resurgent Liberal, defines the real challenge facing the United States in the 21st century in this trail-blazing book. Original, readable, and vastly informed, The Work of Nations is certain to set a standard for the next generation of policy-makers.
so what is going on?
Trumpieboy is destroying their plans. What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander
Don't ask me: I'm just a GILF sitting in my bedroom blogging.
Lots of complicated analyses out there. But conspiracy site who shall not be named summarizes it here:
yes I know: A crazy conspiracy site. But
given how the information about Covid on conspiracy sites was more accurate than what I read in the Medical literature, maybe some of the points in this summary might be correct. Alternative opinion
If not, then the sky is falling and we are all gonna die.

Trump presented the import taxes, which he calls “reciprocal tariffs” and range from 10% to 49%, in the simplest terms: the U.S. would do to its trading partners what he said they had been doing to the U.S. for decades. “Taxpayers have been ripped off for more than 50 years,” he said. “But it is not going to happen anymore.” The president promised that “Jobs and factories will come roaring back into our country.” He framed it not just as an economic issue, but a question of national security that threatens “our very way of life.”"....so how does fair trade work?
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the U.S. tariffs imposed on his country were totally unwarranted, but Australia will not retaliate. “President Trump referred to reciprocal tariffs. A reciprocal tariff would be zero, not 10%,” said Albanese. The U.S. and Australia have a free trade agreement and the U.S. has a $2-to-$1 trade surplus with Australia. “This is not the act of a friend.” Trump said the United States bought $3 billion of Australian beef last year, but Australia would not accept U.S. beef imports. Albanese said the ban on raw U.S. beef was for biosecurity reasons.
That was the only example but Europe and China does this all the time.
And then there are those small contries that are shipping cheap stuff to the USA that actually come from other countries But that's not even noticed in these articles that lament how the tariffs will hurt the third world.
