Robert Burns wrote a poem about Haggis,
which starts thus:
Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o' the puddin'-race!
Aboon them a' ye tak yer place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye wordy o' a grace
As lang's my airm.
It goes on for four more stanzas, but you get the idea...which is why it is traditionally eaten at Burn's memorial suppers...
