DVDs!!

I have commented about DVD's in the past...

Most of the movies sold here are CD video types..poor quality...and if they are pirated, you don't know until you get them home and find they are cruddy...

But I did bring a few DVD's here with me, that I could play on my laptop...

Well, we just bought a top line DVD/CD/VCD/MP3 player...and I can play my mp3 cds on it, so I am happy...but then I put on my US DVD and they played...

I had understood that Asia used a different code, but they worked, so now I can play "out of Africa" or "Lord of the Rings" or the other movies on my TV...
