At the grave site

After Mass, we again went slowly to the gravesite.

The casket was placed into an above ground concrete box, next to his father's grave. This is the newer cemetary, so has anopen roof, so family can visit in the shade.

Everyone was crying, and the relatives threw flowers into the grave as the casket was lowered.

At this point, I took Lolo home, since it was about 95 degrees...but later tonite we'll probably visit the family again.
He was one of eight siblings, 7 still alive, and had four kids.
And, as father said in the funeral Mass, what makes this worse was that it was a senseless killing by one who has no love of life...but for us, God sees our lives as meaningful, and we are loved. God was with him at his death, and we will join Ito and our other deceased family members in the next life. Posted by Picasa
