Ebola causes massive bleeding from all orifices...so one hopes this is not Ebola...
There are other hemorrhagic fevers...one nurse I worked with in Liberia actually survived Marburg virus.
There have been outbreaks of Marburg in Angola last year...And Dengue fever comes to mind, but doesn't kill so fast.
African Muti (medicine) can also cause hemorrage and coma, but not fever...and other illnesses can cause DIC, the blood to clot and then not clot so you bleed all over, or thrombocytopenia, where you don't clot at all....Thrombocytopenia can also be caused by poison, radiation and drug allergy (the last case I treated was an allergy to Quinine that she took for leg cramps)...
