Headlines of the day

Video released by "insurgents" shown on BBC, so we hear "daily civilians killed by US" when the charges are three attacks in three years...the incident shown on the BBC was already investigated and cleared...another incident has been prosecuted already, and one being investigated which seems to be revenge on those who watched a car bomb being placed and did nothing about it...

Nope, no press bias here, folks. Just the press trying to find a new MayLai to pin on Bush...and that headline about "furor growing"? well, it is being fueled by the press reports, just like the Katrina reports that turned out not to be true...
What about the hundreds of innocent women and children killed at market places and mosques by car bombs. Well, they are Bush's fault too for not shooting the bad guys who hide behind women and children.....

Well how about THESE atrocities:" during mass protest ...50 Azeris were killed, 600 were wounded, over 1000 are arrested." Didn't read about it? Maybe because a google of "Iran protests" only spits out one link...

Ah yes, but if I am cynical it is because a local NPA bigshot was killed by another NPA trained killer, but what is not clear is who hired the killer...(i.e. interparty squabbling, or was he paid by someone in the government, or was he hired to kill in revenge for someone the "activist" had killed in the past).

The NPA and thugs trained by the NPA are kidnapping and assasinating politicians and businessmen, the right wing hit squads are hitting back...LINK2
So the left, especially US Leftist "human rights" groups, blames the CIA.(kaching alert)..

The Catholic Bishops see it as a cycle of murder that needs to be reconciled...

Bishop Lagdameo writes:
Our national dailies for the past few weeks have been carrying news about activists, leftist-militants, journalists, defenders of the poor suspected as communists, and even police and army men, being killed or abducted....“Whatever is hostile to life itself, such as any kind of homicide …; whatever violates the integrity of the human person such as mutilation, physical and mental torture and attempts to coerce the spirit; whatever is offensive to human dignity, such as …arbitrary imprisonment … all these and the like are a disgrace, and so long as they infect human civilization they contaminate those who inflict them more than those who suffer injustice, and they are a negation to the honor due to the Creator” (Vatican II Gaudium et Spes, 27; Encyclical Veritatis Splendor, 80)...The killings leave deep scars on the memory of people especially members of their families which no amount of talk about national security will completely erase. This is a sin against life, a sin against human dignity. Human life, whose ever it is, is sacred. Retribution and vengeance simply perpetuates the cycle of violence-------------

6-4-06 Update.
Michelle Malkin found the UK Times using an old photo to "illustrate" the deaths, and they deny it was meant to smear the troops LINK
Yup, as Dan Rather found out, in the days of the internet, it only took Buckhead four hours to catch the forgeries and 24 for LGF and Powerline to confirm the fraud.
Attention UKTIMES: Don't mess with FilipinaAmericans...

and the WAPost has an editorial pointing out that such things are part of war...and gives stories of similar things occuring in WWII...Yup. The difference is that nowadays, the elites despise the army so don't know anyone who has fought a war or lived thru one as a civilian (as I have).
