Ursi has a link to bamboo home technology.
Bamboo grows all over the place here, and we use bamboo for a lot of things. But only the rural poor use it for a house.
Most old "rich" homes are hardwood...and new homes are concrete, even in our rural area...only the poorest still live in the cool bamboo hut with thatch roof (although many of them now have TV antennas on top).
Termites are one problem. Another is robbery.
