National Guard to the rescue in NE US floods

Another undercovered story was that the National Guard helped a lot of people during the flooding of the Susquehannah...

The Governor noted, with irony, that the troops that assisted with the local flood recovery efforts are from the 111th National Guard Wing stationed at the Willow Grove. "The Guard has always shared a dual purpose and that purpose has never been more evident than it is right now."

National Guard troops are on their way to some of the hardest hit areas. Locally, water rescue teams from Johnstown, East Taylor Township and Jackson Township are being sent to the Harrisburg area.
