She suffered from spina bifida, a birth defect in which the spinal vertebrae do not form completely around the spinal cord. She came to the United States in December and underwent multiple successful surgeries beginning in January at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta...."(baby Noor has Spina Bifida, so her legs will remain paralyzed, but the sac on her back and other medical problems have been fixed for now).
