Family Update

Chano is holding a conference for church leaders to learn how to do accounting to track their finances. Not something regularly taught in bible schools.

Lolo has adopted two kittens that wandered in. There is a feral white cat that lives in our workroom, so we think she is the mom. Luckily we got to them before the dogs killed them, and they are now in an old birdcage for their own safety. Leter, after they have a bath and get rid of their fleas, we might let them in the bedroom.

Because of the conference, I went to put the white dog into our dogcage to confine him...and found the dogcage was full of live chickens. Yup. Chickens for lunch today. Yum.

The cartoon reminds me of our white dog: don't disturb him...

So right now we are in the bedroom, with three dogs. The cats are outside the room on the table of our shrine (all good Philippino Catholics have shrines in their house...Chano took it down but I restocked it with an icon of Christ and a painting of Mary. Usually we have Fred's mother's statue of Mary, but when the roof was leaking, we took it to the farm for safe keeping and haven't brought it back yet).
