It discusses how certain barangays (neighborhoods) are having the army go from door to door asking for tax certificates, to prove people are not the mobile non tax paying NPA.
They are also going to get walkie talkies so people can report crimes...guess texting to 911 won't work...
they also have an article saying that importing cheap onions will be stopped by the government, which is good news for local farmers.
And, they have some nice photos of the Sandal festival...the Palenke (open air market) has lots of different sandals out front on main street, as the photo shows...Festival includes concerts and dances in the square...
