We just watched an hour of CNN...no context...45 minutes on terrible things in Lebanon, five minutes on Israel showing one bombing...no context...mentioned Castro...no context...ignored Dafur, Somalian pirates attacking ships, Nigeria kidnapping Pinoys, a couple thousand dead kids in the Congo, etc. And this type of hype is what we get in our newspapers.
I do have a question, however.
The government is still trying to evacuate Pinoys from Lebanon, but there are probably 20 000 of them in Israel...and even though from reading Israeli news I know tens of thousands of Israelis have moved to the south of the country, why is there no news about the Israeli Pinoys?
And how many Filipina maids have had to jump out of windows in Tel Aviv to get away from abusive employers who lock them up?
Enquiring minds want to know...
