The Bad News:
Authorities in the Philippines say a massive oil spill could get much worse without urgent help to lift a fuel-laden tanker off the ocean floor.
The ship sank in the Panay Gulf off Guimaras island on August 11, leaving two of the 20 crew missing.
The vessel's surviving crew members say only one of its 10 containers ruptured, leaving almost half a million gallons still on board.
There are fears the sea water and pressure could burst the tanks.
Dead fish, crabs and other marine organisms have started to wash up on the blackened shores around Guimaras.
