9-11 anniversary

Most bloggers are mentioning 9-11.
My "memories" of that day are hearing about the second plane, and we immediately knew it was terrorism. I put on my radio, but too many patients were getting upset so was ordered to turn it off and get to work.
Between patients, I hit the internet, only to find many of the usual sites had crashed...so we found out about the collapse of the towers on the BBC news site.

There is a joke of "six degrees of separation". Well, my link is one: One of my medical school classmates was at the Pentagon and helped triage and treat patients. And a friend of my brother's best friend was badly burned there.

So, like all Americans, the attack was personal.
