We are far from anywhere, so usually the only aircraft we see or hear are commercial aircraft quite high up and a rare helicopter transporting a VIP.
But for the last few days, there has been lots of low flying aircraft...one that I had never seen before.
Took me awhile to find a photo. It's a C 130 Hercules...
And, being a turboprop it's NOISY...
When I asked the driver why all the flights, he said it was the US Marines, who were here for a joint exercize with the Philippine Armed services.
I knew they were at Clark and Subic, but didn't realize they were at Ft Magaysay which is near here....
They are doing "Marine" type things like jumping out of airplanes up at the base and learning about Jungle survival...
including how to catch, kill, and barbecue...SNAKE
