Livelihood Trade fair opens
NATIONAL LIVELIHOOD TRADE FAIR
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo leads a ribbon cutting ceremony with Speaker Jose C. de Venecia Jr. (left), Rep. Ana York P. Bondoc of Pampanga (behind the President), and Ms. Gina de Venecia to open the ‘Kabuhayan Para sa Kaunlaran’ National Livelihood Trade Fair at Megatrade Hall 2, SM Megamall, organized by the Congressional Spouses Foundation headed by Ms. De Venecia. The Congressional Spouses Foundation conducts various projects to directly benefit the poor constituents of members of the House of Representatives, many of these about poverty alleviation and generation of higher family incomes. Our products are being shown there including the capiz flower arrangement lights and furniture being made in the previous photos.
Chano and his wife and child were at the dinner, since they work with the livelihood program.
Ruby met and blessed the president, and is sooo proud of herself.
(In the Philipipnes, when a child meets an elder, they take the back of the elder's hand and apply it to their forehead and say "Bless". It is a token of respect.)
