Philippine news

My son in law won't allow his wife to visit here, because of terrorist threats.
In Jolo there has been a lot of activity against the AbuSayyaf, and now there is a worry about more problems, as this Australian newspaper reports.

The bad news is that, between the oil spill and the hurricane affecting tourism, now we have the threat of terrorism scaring away Aussies who might prefer Borachay to Bali.

Of course, none of this bothers us...in our area the NPA is the problem

In the meanwhile, the big news is still the last typhoon causing blackouts and billboards falling in Manila, and the loss of the rice harvest for a lot of people in south central Luzon. (Rice harvest starts in a couple weeks).

and now: A new typhoon is coming.LINK

However, it is predicted to hit north of here.HERE
