Former Spook, who knows more about these things than I do, hits the spin on "missing national Guard equipment", a spin that started within hours of the Tornado destoying Kansas...i.e. before anyone had time to evaluate what was actually there (80% of the NG equipment was available, and nearby states had more equipment available, not to mention that the governor could ask private sources to go there: in farm areas, most farmers have backhoes, tractors and other earth moving equipment).

He also points out how the press spun civilian deaths from US bombs in Afghanistan...that they bombed the Taliban who held the civilians as human shields...and that some of the "civilians" were probably Taliban or supporters of them. But the headline doesn't say that.
