Millions are alive because of the agricultural research that went into the Green revolution. It's one of the most underreported stories of the last two decades.

And the Father of the Green revolution has an editorial in support of "frankenfoods", pointing out out that genetically enhanced food is merely using technology to do what farmers have done slowly for thousands of years.

Oh yes: did you read that last week he was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, America's highest civilian honor.
