Medical headlines of the day

The New England Journal is going the way of other journals, printing puff pieces instead of hard data.

My take on todays "big news" from the NEJM is found on BNN

The cat who "senses" death is probably detecting acidosis/uremia, and that people who have this odor need her help.... and the ironic part is that in the old days, nurses did this all the time, in the good old days....

And a study that the press is spinning to suggest you can "catch" obesity overlooks culture, since they don't recognize white ethnicity. There are a lot of people who figure that eating is fun, and obesity is not a mortal sin, so enjoy already.
