Headlines below the fold

Ex president Estrada was convicted of "plundering" but not of perjury.
So he stole, but when he said he didn't steal anything, he wasn't lying.

Manila is bracing for mass demonstrations, so has closed the schools and announced the redirecting of traffic. He's a "poor boy made good" and still popular.

He will probably be pardoned.

I am not commenting on the Petreus hearings, since we are not watching them and the testimony seems at a disconnect with the inane monologue of congress. And the protesters and the congressmen who granted them seats need to be fined. I mean, you can't just walk into these meetings...
