Headlines below the fold

Canadian censorship in the name of civil rights...
But are they censoring Steyn for quoting someone else? more HERE...

----------------------------------
Another fake massacre in Iraq.. headlines but now no evidence it happened...maybe we also need someone to look where the bogus stories are coming from...

--------------------------
Corruption and hunger in Zimbabwe....the government makes sure the food aid is distributed to their cronies...
The understanding is if you don't vote for Mugabe, you don't get food...and he will not allow outsiders to observe the rigged elections.

-----------
Down below I mentioned how to send email cards to soldiers, but that the Army won't accept cards without names...StrategyPage explains it is because the volume was just too large to handle, and they have the address of the Red Cross if you want to send snailmail cards.

the American Red Cross, and the Pitney Bowes Corporation, will accept such mail for the Christmas season, assign a name to it, and get it delivered. Such mail should be sent (and arrive no later than December 27th) to:

Disease of the day to worry about: Chikungunya virus can now be spread by the tiger mosquito, not just the Aedes aegypti..there was an outbreak in Italy in September.....it causes fever and achyness, but isn't usually fatal. If you can't pronounce Chikungunya, just call it by it's other name: BuggyCreek virus.
