Not much in the news.

we didn't get the debate last weekend (one happy reason to live in the Philippines: except for CNN you can ignore American politics). But most of the stories seem to be missing the point, and not just because they were Democrat talking points.

The cone of silence dispute ignores that five minutes warning is meaningless: Obama's poor performance was because his staff didn't prepare him for the interview.

And the "cross in the sand" was not a made up story: but unless you know how that small cross helped McCain later to forgive his captors you are missing a pretty big story.
