It's also the centenary of Lucy Maud Montgomery...alas her family prefers to "out" her suicide which gets headlines instead of celebrating her life....she suffered from severe depression at the end of her life, probably because of her childhood suffering...like many authors, she "rewrote" the story the way she wanted it to be, not how it was.
NYTimes celebrates books...hmmm...wonder why so many are PC political books?
We once got a bunch of used books from a friend who was moving into a smaller apartment...lots of books of the month...and the "topical" ones were out of date, and often inaccurate...so paint me skeptical about these...
