Milton

When I was in school, we studied Milton's Paradise Lost, and I was bored and thought Milton didn't like women.

But now I'm trying to get through the YALE podcast course on Milton...by Professor John Rogers...
Don't know if I "like" Milton as a person, but Milton's place in literature and history are interesting...and it will probably take me awhile to digest the lectures.

More HERE and HERE

what got me into the subject was not that it's Milton's 400th anniversary, but because I downloaded a torrent of the BBC radio program on the original Frankenstein story...and Mary Shelley's book has a lot of Milton parallels...her stepmother actually republished the book, so she was familiar with the story of a creature rejecting his maker...
