Fiesta parade on Thursday and big feast yesterday here, with our farmers.
I'll try to post photos later.
After the dinner, Chano and family went swimming but Lolo took a nap, and then to Chona's for supper.
We didn't go to the church service: too hot...luckily for us, since YouKnowWho was there with a half dozen security guards.
Chona, in giving her gift, had to pass him by, and turned and said: "Look at us" (i.e. that all the sisters of Dr Ito were there). But he didn't make eye contact...and now the rumors in town are that she told him off.
He's out on bail, but can't keep paying...he's already bribing to get reelected but the one running against him is from a rich family....and if he doesn't get reelected, he won't be able to get money to prolong the court case, or free bodyguards.
The rumors are that he is paying 5000 pesos a vote; last election it was only 1500. (the usual cost of buying a vote is 500 pesos...so he's in trouble).
Well, anyway Chona and the sisters are going to Palawan for a vacation today...there they only face generic terrorism, not revenge attacks...sigh.
