The last storm hit south of here, so we mainly got heavy rain and wind, flooded streets, and only one landslide on Mt Ayarat area in Pampanga.

But this one will hit north of here, so the run off could mean opening the irrigation dams which are innundated with water, and therefore flooding of low lying areas of town.

We also could get wind damage with this one. So everyone is stocking up just in case. (we will probably get brown out with internet/tv outage, so rely on our generator, candles and radio).

For Manila, it mainly means more dangers of floods, which they don't need.

This time, everyone is stocking up. And they are actually talking about evacuating the vulnerable areas in Manila.
