War on Terror? Nah, just politics as usual

Big kidnapping and massacre in the southern Philippines...at first it seemed linked to the war on terror, but now it looks like it is linked to politicians killing their rivals.
ABS CBN Headline summarizes it thus:

The bad news: Many of those killed and mutilated were women and journalists.

Personal note: One of my nephews was killed in the crossfire of a political hit job on a rival a couple years ago...we are still awaiting justice.
