It's the dangerous time of the year

AMedNews states:

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, an average of 6,000 people a year end up in the emergency department for packaging-related injuries. Many more get minor wounds from using sharp implements to extricate products.

Most of the problem is in that hard plastic "Clamshell packaging".

and Epilog notes that some foods are dangerous:
1,979 people appeared in ERs with a BRI (bagel related injury). Chicken-related injuries (3,463) led the category, but recorded bagel injuries were otherwise exceeded only by potato, apple and onion injuries."
