Indonesian gets in Guinness book of records for releasing the most paper lanterns.
Freedom Faithnet Global said it organised the lantern release as a symbol of hope and prayer as part of annual celebrations.

Skylanterns are a Chinese custom (I've never seen it here in the Philippines)
They are usually released at various festivals.
