Stuff below the fold

article on the weirdest homes for sale.

----------------

the NYTimes insists that hand-driers work as well as paper towels.

But the dirty little secret is that after 60 seconds, your hands are still wet, so you "dry" them on your shirt/skirt...
and I've worked in hospitals/clinics where the administration bought the cheapest paper towels, which not only didn't dry your hand, but you ended up with your skin sandpapered off by the end of the day.

ChicagoBoyz has a series on Palinophobia...
her problem is that she is an uppity working class gal who can articulate what a lot of folks are thinking, but who are usually ignored by the elites who run things.

Health care "reeducation"
I worked for the IHS....do not, I repeat, DO NOT trust a "medical home"

Two: wondering about those recent studies proving X medicine is cheaper, but your docs have been brainwashed by big pharmaceutical companies to use the newer ones?my discussion at BNN:

Well, Huffpost notes a lot of side effects with medicines depleting vitamins and minerals... and a lot of them are the same ones being pushed as "cheaper" (thiazide diuretics for blood pressure) or as preventive for problems (statins for minor increase in cholesterol).

attention John Edwards: defensive medicine costs 55 billion dollars a year...but don't expect any change in the law...the lawyers donate lots of money to politicians...
